Our next evolution...

Inspired by early AI cryptoArt pioneers Pindar Van Arman, David Young, and Artonymousartifakt, we trained a GAN model to imagine a new collection of Hopeful Beasts using our artwork as inputs.  The creations are truly fascinating. 

After each cycle, the lines and patterns of color more closely mimicked the style of our training set. After 100 generations, the images approached our ideal but have a style all their own. A few sample inputs and outputs are included below. 

As they emerged from the latent space, in his typical fashion, my now 8 year-old son, Pedro picked his favorites and named the never before seen creatures.  

We then used his names as the seed for the names of the 100th generation beasts.  

in total, 100 creations have been selected. A handful of the human-made inputs and 10 dynamic Hopeful Beasts are included.  10 will be reserved for our collection.
